WordPress Security - Your Blog - Protection Tips
Many are told that the best security they can have is backup and update your blog. People are told this by others that just listen to someone else that does not have the first clue as to what blog security is.
Those that spread this rumor is not only clueless but they are 100% WRONG!!!
Don’t leave the security of your blog to some rumors that are passed down through the grape vine. If you do then you are in for a rude awakening and leaving your blog and server up for grabs to every hacker.
First and foremost WordPress Secured is the only product on the market that offers an actual security solution to your blog hacking problems. If you do not have WordPress Secured v2 then you are leaving your blog open to those hackers.
Additional Security Tips for Your Blog
* Hosting: The most up to date a secured servers that are around come from HostGator.com. They keep their servers updated and have Php Suexec installed which means you do not need to use any 777 permissions on your scripts or folders. Using 777 permissions leaves your server open to hack attacks.
* Plugins: Always make sure that you get your plugins from a reputable place and that the plugins are secure and safe and free from malicious code. Before using any plugins make sure you have a test blog installed and you test the plugin from the test blog before placing it on your live blog.
* Themes: Always make sure that you get your themes from a reputable place and that the themes are secure and safe and free from malicious code. It is in your best interest to hire a professional to create you a custom made theme. Doing so will ensure that you will have a safe and secure theme installed on your blog.
* Overuse: If you have themes or plugins that you are not using then delete them. Make a backup and keep a backup on your hard drive but if you are not using them on your blog then delete them. Leaving these unused themes or plugins on your server could cause issues with load times and one of these may have malicious code and even if they are not active hackers can still use them to access your blog and server.
So make sure you have the following list taken care of
1. WordPress Secured v2 installed and being used
2. You are using hostgator.com for hosting
3. All plugins are secure
4. All themes are secured
5. Themes and plugins not is use are removed
When you have that list taken care of you will be able to breath easier in knowing that your wordpress blog is protected and more safe and closer to being hacker free.

I’ll be building a Joomla site and I may or may not have a comments section as blogs have. Does Joomla have a similar problem? Does WPS apply? This would be a huge market for you.
Domains are http://www.easy-internet-marketing.com and
http://www.easy-website-graphics.com.
